Great advice!
Love your earrings
Driving 8 hours sucks. I did it every day for almost 2 weeks when picking up my rig, and it wasn't fun. I would much rather take my time, but life doesn't always work out that way. π€·ββ
Greetings from the deserts of Southern California! I so appreciate your videos, Debra! I have not begun traveling solo, but I'm retiring in 2025. I am currently enjoying reading your book, "How Being A Nomad Saved My Life", on my Kindle. It is a wonderful book, I am so glad you wrote it! I'm looking forward to reading your other books when I am finished. Take care! π
Good morning Debra. Thanks for all the views and chat. You are a wealth of knowledge. Hope you and "Bando" are having a great day!
Thanks!
Glad you all made it.
Looks like a beautiful spot!
Ooolalahhh! That landscape is beautiful…π
Shoulder season has been no joke, weβve had to reschedule our trip at least 3 times. So glad youβre making it work.
Driving sure sucks my brain energy to zero. I have been home for 8 days after driving 1,200 miles home in 5 days. Iβm still toast and so overtired. Rest as much as you can β€οΈβ€οΈβ€οΈ
We try to break journeys, I wouldn't want to drive more than 6 hours in a go, and I try to aim for 2-4hrs. Of course in the UK we're a very small country, tip to tail is 15hrs drive, 841 miles.
What a beautiful place. I remember the struggles you and Bandit had when you first got him. I'm so happy to see the issues have resolved themself π₯°
Georgeous scenery! We love boondocking but will do parks if itβs super hot and humid. We donβt like long travel days either but stuff happens. We went through our back up plans until we finally found a place. 7 hr drive. βΉοΈ I think November is an optimal time for Q. Safe travels. BTW. I love your hair! KOKO, NMW.
What a beautiful spot for the video. Your hair looks beautiful, too.
Thank you, Debra. This is great information. An unexpected eight hours on the road, both ways, is also a big bite out of the budget when you have to pay for the gas. Your "have a backup plan to your backup plan" reminds me that I need to add some alternative scenarios to my planning list & budget. It sounds like there really aren't "shoulder seasons" (like Spring and Fall) and you're really choosing between a very hot "summer" or a very cold "winter". Yesterday I watched one of Bob's videos in which he listed "fears" that nomads may have and I don't have a lot of the fears that he listed but I started thinking about the kind of things that I DO worry about (in this early preparing-to-leave stage) and one of those is getting caught in a bad weather situation and having no way out (like waking up to find that you're snowed in.) I know that, as you mentioned, checking weather apps is imperative but paying close attention and remembering to do that consistently will be a challenge for me. I'm recently retired and for the first time in my life I don't have to answer to anyone or anything (or be anywhere at any certain time) so I will have to relearn how to pay attention to what's happening around me and act quickly. I think a lot of people go into this life expecting it to be all casual and easy and, in reality, it takes constant vigilance. I love that your videos let us know it's doable and totally worth the effort. See ya' tonight (on the live chat)
Safe Travels Debra π
Have a back up plan to your back up plan is good advice for everyone. Great to see you thriving out there!
Full time rving is a full time job, following good weather. Stay safe

Awesome video
Traveling is very unexpected especially when #ea.ing with weather and reservations…safe travels to you and Jana.
I so dislike reservations and long driving days. Can't always rely on weather. Currently near Ajo in Mid 80s because Yuma to Needles was almost 100. It's certainly a flexible lifestyle.
Such a beautiful place! Glad you made it safely. Bandit is living his best life thanks to youπΎπΎπΎHappy trailsππ¦π
Beautiful place! Thanks for the video!
That was one happy smile on Bando! I give up on autocorrect! π
Iβm in South Georgia, whereβs itβs Flat as a Pancake. π And hot as a griddle.
Beautiful scenery. Glad you made it safely.
How beautiful! Good info for travelers. And Bando even smiled with you for the camera. I love those earrings! I couldn't stop looking at them. Happy travels to you, Jana and the pups.
Donβt call them blunders. Call the a learning curve.
You look rested and happy. Enjoy those gorgeous views for me and Gerti. Hugs to you all β€β€πππΎπΎ
Beautiful area
Lovely site π and good advice
Sounds like very helpful advice for travelers…Love your location & your hair looks lovely !!! β€ππΆπΉ
What a lovely and helpful video, Debra! Well, I have to say I'm about past ready to leave FL. My A/C wasn't working until 2 days ago and it has been hot and humid. I think it's the humidity I'm no longer used to. As long as I have shade and a breeze, I can do dry heat. I'll give you a holler whenever I'm on my way back through. (not sure when that'll be yet) Hugs to you and Jana and Bandito and Sami Jo. Miss you guys!
Your hair is beautiful
On second book in koko series and enjoying them.
